3 ready-made pizza base (8’’ diameter)

For the pizza topping

1 onion, chopped
1 capsicum, chopped
1 packet tomato puree
1⁄2 tbsp vinegar
1⁄2 tsp pizza seasoning
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp pepper powder
1⁄2 tsp butter
1⁄2 tbsp garlic paste
2 cubes cheese, grated
A pinch of sugar
Salt to taste

For garnishing

3/4th cup mozzarella cheese, grated
Onion rings
Capsicum rings
Tomato slices


To prepare the topping, preheat a 16cm unit until the Thermo Indicator reaches just before the 20 degree mark. Reduce to low heat and sauté the onions in the butter, along with garlic paste and chopped capsicum. Then add the rest of topping ingredients except the grated cheese. Simmer for 10-15 minutes. Dry up the excess moisture, add the grated cheese and remove from heat and cool.

To make the pizza, spread 2 tbsp of the topping on a pizza base. Place onion, capsicum and tomato slices over it and top it with grated mozzarella cheese. To bake, preheat a 24cm Regular unit on medium heat until the Thermo Indicator reaches just before the 20 degree mark. Reduce to low heat and gently place the pizza base inside the unit. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese melts. Remove, cut it into slices and serve hot.

Tip: For topping variations, try cooked and shredded chicken, olives, jalapenos, crumbled cottage cheese (paneer) or chopped pineapple.
